When you eat food for a living you’re bound to be a bit on the portly side. As Man V Food host Adam Richman found out. Although he could have been a lot bigger. Indeed it’s to his credit that he wasn’t morbidly obese, considering the amount of calorie laden, fat loaded food he’s eaten in the name of entertainment.

He also stayed well hydrated by drinking plenty of water and club soda and by not drinking sugar-laden soft drinks or coffee.

The last episode of Man V Food aired in 2012. Richman though continued his foodie quest by setting himself a mission to find America’s best sandwich. He also hosted Food Fighters, a food based game show.

A keen soccer buff, Richman was invited to participate in the annual Soccer Aid match in June 2014 at Old Trafford in Manchester as part of the "Rest of the World" team. To train for the match he took a leaf out of the dietary and exercise regimes of many top footballers and put himself on a vegan diet. By the time the game was played he’d reportedly lost 66 pounds. We believe it too going by recent photos of him – he’s almost half the size he was during his Man V Food days.
