What Is CoQ10?

CoQ10 is a vitamin like substance that is fat soluble. It is also known as a compound that occurs naturally in our bodies. CoQ10 is found in major organs such as the liver, and in the heart. It acts as an antioxidant and neutralizes free radicals. Furthermore, CoQ10 is crucial for the basic functioning of cells.

As of today, researchers and doctors do not know the answer to such a question. However, in the User’s Guide to Nutritional Supplements by Jack Challem (nutrition reporter/author), suggests that CoQ10 is safe to take 30 to 60 mg per day. It is important to consult a doctor before taking high doses. A suggested dose for treating a chronic is between 200 to 300 mg per day. Further research is needed to understand the extent of it’s effectiveness on certain conditions.
