You know what – wouldn’t it make more sense to only say you want to get a 6 pack, when you want a flabby gut? If you really want to get ripped, that’s all you should say – that you want chiseled abs.

All joking aside, it can take quite a bit of dedication and hard work to get a 6 pack. Otherwise, everyone would have one, and it wouldn’t be something you would really crave. It takes a little time and dedication though. If you could stick with the program, these steps will really help.

Here’s the thing – you could have a sixpack right now and not even know about it. If you have a layer of insulation over your abdomen, you’ll never know what’s going on in there. So an important part of your plan to get a 6 pack would be to get rid yourself of that, so that the sixpack, when it does form itself, will actually be visible to the outside world.

The best way to do that of course would be to seriously cut down on the fat in your diet. You don’t have to eat less. You just have to eat less fat. Yes, food doesn’t really taste as good without a lot of fat in it. And so, you eat less of it.

When it comes to dieting, a lot of the trouble you have is psychological. A lot depends on what you call it. If you tell yourself that you can eat as much as you want, only you can’t touch the fat, it doesn’t sound that bad. If you tell yourself that you are on a low-fat diet, it sounds scary.

Okay, your aim getting ripped for the beach this summer would be to lose about a pound every week. You don’t want to try any of those scary diets where they say you could lose a pound a day. You don’t want to ruin your health just to look cool for a few days on the beach. When you lose a pound a day, you know what you’re losing? You’re losing muscle just as much as fat.

So if you try to lose fat too quickly, you’re not doing yourself any favors in the six pack Department. You just dissolving your sixpack.

Well, you’re doing everything now to get your body ready for the time your sixpack arrives. What are you doing to actually get a sixpack though? You don’t just want to prepare the window. You want to prepare for something to put in it too. And that would be your gym routine.

The best way to get a sixpack is to work out for it. Now there are all kinds of workout routines out there. You can easily find something on the Internet that really suits your needs. Basically, your routine will have to include bicep curls, calf extensions, squats, deadlifts, chin-ups and crunches. The combination in which you do these, can come in many different forms. But you can find something that suits you, reading up on the Internet.
