How to Lose 10 Pounds in a Week – 7 Simple Steps

When you desperately need to lose weight in as fast as 7 days, you’re up for a real a challenge. We all know that losing weight requires a bit of time. In some cases, it takes months or years for people to lose some pounds and get in their ideal weight.

However, in cases that you only need to lose a few pounds in time for a summer party or any other special event that requires your best look, then these tips below could work very well. Here are some of my effective tips on how to lose 10 pounds in a week:

Step #1: Detoxification

On the first day of your weight loss program, make sure to do a body detox before anything else. Cleansing your inner body can make a big difference in how to lose 10 pounds in a week.

When your body is free from toxins and other unwanted substances, it’s likely to perform a lot better, which can speed up your metabolism in the process.

Step #2: Limit your food intake

I don’t usually encourage my clients to eat less when trying to lose weight, but in such case as yours, I would definitely recommend you to limit the amount of food that you eat. If you want to lose weight in the next 7 days, you’re gonna have to work hard to contain your appetite. If you’re used to eating 2 cups of rice or 2 loaves of bread for breakfast, make it just 1 for the next 7 days. And be sure to also cut back on calories! You can also try eating several small meals a day instead of 3 full meals. This will help you stay full most of the time so you get to eat less.

Step #3: 35 grams of fiber a day

Fiber helps in good digestion, and in return, you get faster metabolic rate. Make sure to include at most 35 grams of fiber in your daily meals. The best sources of fiber would definitely be fruits and vegetables.

Step #4: 10-12 glasses of water per day

The usual recommendation that I give to my clients is only about 8-10 glasses of water per day. But since you’re aiming for a fast weight loss, let’s bring it up to 10-12 glasses. Water helps purify your body and flushes away toxins and other harmful chemicals in it. One trick that I can teach you in relation to step #2 is to drink at least 1 or 2 glasses of water before every meal. This will make you feel full, thus, will cause you to eat less than the usual.

Step #5: Control your sweet tooth

One of the most important steps in how to lose 10 pounds in a week is to limit your intake of sugar. No cakes and other sweet items for now. Substitute your soda and juice with water whenever possible, or you can also go for fresh fruit juices minus the sugar.

Step #6: Work Out

Your ultimate step to losing weight is to sweat off all those extra pounds. Try doing a combination of cardio and strength exercises for at least 20 minutes every day. You can also search some exercise videos online that you can easily follow.

Step #7: Don’t stop there

Now that you’ve learned how to lose 10 pounds in a week, make sure to continue motivating yourself even after you lost 10 pounds. Remember that you can easily gain all those pounds back if you don’t stick to your diet system.
