So, when film producers got together with the creators of Marvel legends Deadpool and Cable to discuss turning the popular comic book series into blockbuster movies, the hunt was on for a superhuman to play this superhero! And they found him in the person of Josh Brolin.
Trouble is, even Josh Brolin is only human and has had to pull something out of the hat to turn himself into the mighty Cable. Like other mere mortals who have been called upon to play these Marvel Universe superheros! How did he do it?
According to the star’s social media accounts, Josh has taken a good long hard look at his diet and made a few changes! Out goes the junk food (rumor has it he’s rather fond of doughnuts!) and in comes a hefty Paleo / Keto style menu. The type of diet that cuts out sugar, bread and pasta. And if that all sounds boringly low carb and healthy, then consider his workout regime!
Again, Brolin’s social media accounts provide a bit of a clue as to how the star is tackling the physical transformation from mortal to Marvel superhero. Needless to say, it involves spending a LOT of time frequenting California’s gyms. And undertaking a serious amount of exercise incorporating bench and leg presses, drop sets, skull crushers, curls, lateral pulls and dumbbell work. We think taking some muscle building supplements instead would be considerably less stressful and certainly a lot easier!
