Sonoma Diet Review

How do you feel about fruits and vegetables? What about a glass of lovely red wine to top it all? If you feel that these foodstuffs are a great thing do have in your daily ration, then the Sonoma diet is definitely for you. Interested? Then keep reading our Sonoma Diet review to find out more!

Approved as one of the best diets to lose weight, the Sonoma Diet concentrates on fruits and vegetables (as opposed to, say, cabbages, as advocated by the proponents of the cabbage soup diet). Even better, this diet has natural origins, as it is, in fact, based remotely on the nutrition patterns of people living in countries around the Mediterranean City. And if that’s not enough to interest you, consider the fact that, generally speaking, people in that region run a lower risk of heart diseases that their counterparts from other countries. So, all in all, it looks like they’re doing something right, and could the Sonoma Diet be the key to their cardiovuscular longevity?

Sonoma Diet emphasises 10 major types of food, some of which include blueberries, broccoli, tomatoes, wholegrains, strawberries, spinach, olive oil and grapes. It is structured into 3 “waves”, which grow gradually less restrictive as you progress through them. For instance, while Wave 1 is likely to be the most restrictive one, you will definitely appreciate the glass of red wine that appears in Wave 2! Portion control plays a very important role in the success of the Sonoma Diet and, in may ways, effectively replaces calorie control.

So, what’s so good about the Sonoma Diet to warrant a review? First and foremost, it is not at all restrictive. Consider this fact – if the people of the Mediterranean could survive on this diet for centuries, then so can you! Furthermore, not only is it not at all harsh, but it actually tastes quite good (unless, of course, you so happen to detest fruits and red wine, in which case a cabbage soup diet might be better for you).

Of course, assuming that the Sonoma Diet allows you to eat anything you wish is just wishful thinking. In fact, if you really want to start losing weight within 10 days, you will have to tighten your belt somewhat and prepare for a rather rigorous and restrictive week and a half. Not only that, but the portions you will eat are likely to be rather small, too, since the Sonoma Diet capitalizes on the concept that the less you eat, the more well-fed you will feel. In other words, expect small, 9-inch plates with servings that you should carefully chew on before swallowing. It might sound awkward, but, trust me, it’s less awkward than having a extra weight pounds where you don’t want them to be with the summer coming up! Better still, eating small portions will make you appreciate the fine taste of food even more. Think gourmet 5-star restaurant, and you won’t be too far off.

There is, however, one major problem with the Sonoma Diet that deserves mention, and that’s its cost. Fresh food and vegetables, not to mention truly fine red wine, can be rather expensive, so you should keep that in mind when choosing the right diet for you. With that said, the Sonoma Diet truly does make you appreciate the taste of food and, if you have any questions, you can always visit their official website where you can pick up the latest recipes. All in all, if you have the money and hate cabbage, then the Sonoma Diet could be just what the doctor ordered!
