When it comes to displaying a beautiful pair of six pack abs, many people want them, but few can obtain them. However, the reason why everybody isn’t walking around with that sleek, ripped look is not what you think. Genetics has nothing to do with it. That’s according to fitness trainer and nutritionist Mike Geary. Mike is the creator of the popular ab workout book: The Truth About Six Pack Abs.

Mike believes that anybody (including those reading this review right now) is capable of having a six pack of well-defined abdominal muscles. And, yes, that does include females.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of myths and bad advice floating around out there when it comes to achieving this lofty fitness goal. Much time and money is spent (and wasted) on various workout routines, and products, that are supposed to make your stomach area miraculously transform into that highly defined look you admire so much.

The good news is that when you read Mike’s book, you’ll finally discover the truth about abs, as well as, what needs to be done in order to get them. The only thing standing in your way, is learning that you’ll need to be incredibly disciplined in order to make this goal a reality in your life.

Therefore, I want to tell you right now that this book is not for those who are only casually interested in learning about ab workouts, or want a simple way of getting rid of stomach fat. This is also not for those who cannot motivate themselves to get off the couch, hook up with some workout equipment, and devote 3 – 4 times a week to serious hard body sculpting.

Mike Geary is the real deal and there is no fluff inside of this book. It’s written in a straight-forward, no-nonsense style that some may even find a bit dry. However, if you are already an exercise geek, then you’ll totally enjoy the workout heavy language that is used. If you are just getting started on your exercise journey, then be prepared to take notes (I mean it).

In fact, the best way that I can describe the contents of this book to you, is that it’s a college level mini course on how to get 6 pack abs. The first section is all about the abdominal musculature and how it works inside of your body. Some may find this part boring, while others will find it fascinating.

He then moves right into a whole series of recommended exercises. There are several sections that explain how to do these exercises in detail. You’ll also get to see color photos of Mike actually performing each exercise (except for one that’s so simple anyone can figure it out). He also reveals a small group of specific exercises that he calls his “Advanced Secret Weapon Exercises.”

These secret exercises are designed to work your ab core quickly and efficiently. They are not hard at all, and can easily be done by both men and women. It’s just that you normally won’t see these being done at the gym, or anywhere else. You’ve got to have a top-rated personal trainer like Mike showing you tips like these.

And, that’s one of the things I like best about what Mike has done with this information guide. He shares with you everything he knows about working out to get lean, as well as, doing specific exercises to work those abs. You’ll be surprised to learn that Mike doesn’t think you should spend the majority of your workout time doing ab exercises.

A total of  5 – 10 minutes is all that’s needed to achieve quality results.

If you thought differently, then this is one of the myths that he exposes in his book. There’s so much bad information out there on this subject, that it’s easy to see why most aren’t successful. Also, if you are relying heavily on ab machines to make it happen, well, you won’t be happy to find out that you’re wasting your time with those things.

If you are already working hard in the gym to reduce your body fat, but still can’t see your abs, then Mike reveals the simple answer to this: Your diet isn’t where it needs to be. Mike spends a whole section of the book going over proper nutrition, and he makes suggestions about what kind of foods you should be eating in order to melt more fat around your midsection – and finally reveal those tight abs.

The Truth About Six Pack Abs Package does include some bonuses, like a Metabolic Rate Calculator and some additional secret exercises. The real meat and potatoes, however, is in the main book. If it’s truly your heart’s desire to have a fully defined set of tight abs, and you’re willing to follow Mike’s example and do whatever it takes to get them, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better book on this subject.
